The Albright College women's swimming team got right back in the win column with an emphatic 141-104 victory over host Arcadia on Saturday.
Kaitlyn Huizing,
Lauren Cormier,
Codi Herr and
Tricia Janowiak won the opening 200 medley relay (automatic timing was incorrect for the event).
The Lions kept winning early, as
Allie Peters (1000 free),
Gwen Stefan (200 free), Cormier (100 breast), and Herr (200 fly) turned into event wins.
Herr (55.04), Stefan and Janowiak later swept the 100 free, and Huizing (2:19.87) added a win in the 100 back. Cormier won the 200 breast in 2:41.05.
Albright was swimming exhibitions late, but would have had the top times from
Liz Muller in the 400 IM and in the 200 free relay.
The Lions set four school records in the victory- the 200 medley relay, Stefan in the 200 free (2:01.43), Herr in the 100 free and the 200 free relay team of Cormier, Herr, Janowiak and Stefan (1:44.04).
The Lions bounced back from their only loss of the season, after dropping a non-conference meet to Ursinus on Wednesday.
Albright improves to 4-1 on the season (4-0 MAC) and will host Messiah College next Saturday at 2 p.m.
