Penn State Harrisburg answered back on an Albright defensive miscue that led to an own goal, evening the score at one.
After two near goals off of corner kicks, Albright finally capitalized when sophomore
Anthony Daub scored on a headball from a
Shawn Murphy corner, giving the Lions the 2-1 lead.
Despite the own goal scored by Penn State, Albright dominated the time of possession and shots on goal category, preventing PSU from recording a single shot on net in the first half.
The second half proved to be less eventful as neither team was able to take advantage of scoring opportunities.
Penn State Harrisburg's best chance at tying the game came with five minutes left to play on a breakaway shot sent wide past an outstretched
David Oram.
Albright carried on their stellar defensive performance that helped them salvage a 2-1 victory.
With tonight's win, Albright improved to 3-2 and Penn State Harrisburg fell to 1-4 on the season.
Albright's next chance to improve its winning record will come this Saturday as the team travels to New Jersey to face Berkley College.
