The Albright College volleyball team was swept at Dickinson on Monday night, despite double-doubles from both
Maddy Greth and
Morgan Heath.
The Lions fell 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-23), after nearly extending the match in the third set.
Greth finished with 10 kills and a .308 hitting percentage, while adding 13 digs. Mantz, the setter, had 24 assists and 10 digs.
Marisa Bartone hit .429 with three kills on seven attempts, and
Caitlin Klotzbach turned in a 10-dig performance. Senior
Christa Mantz had five kills and 19 digs on the evening.
Dickinson got double-digit kills from
Laura Silverman (15) and
Emily Smith (10). Setter
Jenn Morrissey totalled 39 assists.
The Lions hit .147 as a team (.231 in game two), which was just slightly below Dickinson's .167. Albright also committed less attack errors and service errors, but had 43 less attack attempts.
Albright (4-8) will be home on Wednesday against local rival Alvernia. The Lions will be looking for their first Commonwealth Conference win of the season, after sweeping the Crusaders in non-conference play on September 7.
