Four-Goal Burst Carries Paterson Past Lions

Box Score

The Albright College men's soccer team had a rough ending to their Richard Stockton Tournament appearance, losing 5-1 to William Paterson.

Sophomore Vitali Zaluha gave Albright the perfect start with an early tally, but it was all downhill from there for the Lions.

On the first significant action of the game, Zaluha followed up a rebound and knocked it home- giving the Lions the lead in just the 2nd minute.

Leandro Lamache equalized for Paterson on their first shot of the contest, and Aken Pierre gave them the lead less than 11 minutes in.

It was 4-1 after 15:01, following quick strikes by WP's Lemache (on a free kick) and Hugh Riley.

In the second half, Shawn Murphy put a shot wide and Dylan See was blocked.

William Paterson hit the woodwork twice in a two-minute span late in the game, before adding a fifth goal in the 80th minute.

Albright (2-2) will host Penn State-Harrisburg on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
