Results
The Albright College women's swimming team defeated another recent conference contender on Saturday, with a 146-115 victory at Misericordia University.
Misericordia won the MAC title back in 2009 and both teams have finished in the top-three every year since, with Albright winning the last two championships.
After dropping the opening relay,
Amanda Osterlind (18:30.46),
Sam Hand and
Liz Muller responded with a sweep in the 1650 free.
Gwen Stefan placed first in the 200 free, with a time of 2:03.83. Freshman
Julia Barry led another Albright sweep, winning the 200 fly (2:22.04) ahead of Osterlind and
Danielle Hassard.
Codi Herr won back-to-back races- the 50 free (25.56) and 100 free (55.25).
Kaitlyn Huizing followed with a victory in the 200 back, in 2:15.70.
Stefan added a win in the 500 free, with a time of 5:33.09. Herr won her third individual event, the 100 fly, in 58.96.
The Lions also won the 400 free relay, with Herr, Osterlind,
Adina Gaughran and Stefan touching in 3:48.18.
Albright improves to 9-1, 8-0 MAC and will travel to King's College next Saturday.
