Results
The Albright College women's swimming team took the first nine events en route to a 184-75 victory at Hood on Saturday.
Senior
Codi Herr won three individual events, including a 200 free (1:59.74) that featured teammate
Gwen Stefan in second (2:02.04).
Herr would win the 100 free, in 55.36. Later in the meet, she took first place in the 100 fly (59.17).
Junior
Amanda Osterlind took first place in the 1000 free (10:54.71) to open individual competition.
Liz Muller (1:14.03),
Madeline Hudson and Corinne Freeland swept the 100 breast.
Freshman
Julia Barry took the 200 fly, in 2:18.94.
Tricia Janowiak then won the 50 free, with a time of 26.10.
Kaitlyn Huizing took the 100 back, in 1:02.81. She then won the 200 back (2:17.87), giving Albright wins in the day's first nine races.
Hood finally grabbed a win in the 200 breast but Stefan (5:23.18) just barely edged teammate Osterlind (5:23.67) in the 500 free, with
Sam Hand completing the 1-2-3 Albright sweep.
Albright took both relays, with Huizing, Hudson, Herr and Janowiak winning the 200 medley relay (1:56.80). Stefan, Huizing, Janowiak and Osterlind led the way as the Lions went 1-2 in the 400 free relay event.
The Lions improve to 8-1, 7-0 MAC and will travel to rival Misericordia next Saturday.
