Box ScoreAfter over a week off, the Albright College baseball team finally saw some game action today, ending in a 3-0 loss to conference foe Elizabethtown College.
The Lions were unable to muster any offensive production, due to a terrific performance from Elizabethtown's
Kris Davis, who threw a complete game shutout.
Albright's
Jared Neiheiser held Elizabethtown to just one run through five innings, until
Tyler Weary hit a two-RBI double with one out to increase the Blue Jays lead to three.
Relief pitchers
Trey Eberly and
Trevor Mastria were able to hold Elizabethtown scoreless for the remainder of the game, continuing the Lions' solid day on the mound.
Dylan Boll,
Gabe Santone, and
John Medvecky tallied one hit each for the Lions, accounting for the only offensive bright spots.
Today's defeat brings the Lions' record to 4-7, 2-5, as Elizabethtown improves to 9-8, 3-4. Albright's next chance at victory will come Friday when the Lions travel to Arcadia.
