READING, Pa. -- The Albright volleyball team suffered its first home loss of the season on Thursday as Immaculata defeated the Lions 25-14, 25-15, 21-25, 25-17 in a non-conference match in the Bollman Center.
The Lions had topped Penn State-Brandywine and Alvernia in their first two home matches of the season, but that streak came to an end on Thursday.
Kellie Hill led Albright with eight kills, which marked the second consecutive match in which the freshman has paced the team in kills, and
Brandy Blimline added seven kills and 12 digs.
Albright also received four kills each from
Claudia Guise,
Nicole Vazquez,
Marisa Bartone and
Cheyenne Robinett. Guise also paced the squad with 16 assists and
Caitlin Klotzbach led the Lions with 25 digs.
Arden Vizzard led Immaculata with 14 kills and Stephanie Johler added 13 kills, while Molly Truitt led the Mighty Macs with 19 digs.
Immaculata remained undefeated on the season and improved to 6-0, while Albright dropped to 3-5 overall.
Albright will return to action on Saturday (Sept. 13) when it visits Ursinus at 11 a.m.
