COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. --
Nicole Vazquez had five kills and 10 digs, but the Albright College volleyball team lost to Ursinus 25-21, 25-10, 25-16 in a non-conference match on Saturday at Helfferich Hall.
Vazquez recorded her second-highest kill total of the season with five, which was just shy of her season-best effort of seven kills against Penn State-Brandywine. Her 10 digs was a season-high total topping her previous best of seven against Immaculata and Penn State-Brandywine.
Albright, which dropped to 3-6 on the season, also received three kills and 10 digs from
Brandy Blimline.
Marisa Bartone added three kills and two digs for the Lions, while
Caitlin Klotzbach had 21 digs and
Claudia Guise had 13 assists and 10 digs.
Ursinus, which raised its record to 7-2 on the season, was led by Karla Thiele who had 15 kills and 19 digs. Leah Masiello led the Bears with 20 digs on the afternoon.
Albright returns to action on Sept. 16 when it visits Stevenson for a 7 p.m. Commonwealth Conference match.
