SELINSGROVE, Pa. – Senior Rick Sutton recorded a season-best performance in winning the 1000 freestyle on Saturday highlighting the Lions performances in a 146.5-88.5 loss to Susquehanna in the regular-season finale for Albright.
 
Sutton won the 1000 freestyle in a time of 10:10.79, which topped his previous season best of 10:20.83.
 
Albright also received victories from Matt Runtas, Mitch Cain and Tim Resch.
 
Runtas won the 50 freestyle in a time of 21.98, Cain captured first place in the 100 butterfly in 55.88 and Resch placed first overall in the 200 IM in a time of 2:20.37.
 
Sutton also notched a second-place finish in the 200 backstroke (2:05.33) and a fourth-place showing in the 100 breaststroke (1:10.32).
 
Albright also received a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay from Sean Yuschovitz, Ken Richardson, Drew Leahy and Cain who finished in a time of 2:00.45.
 
Albright finished the regular season with a 7-3-1 overall record.
 
The Lions will now prepare for the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships which will be held on Feb. 12-15 in York, Pa.
