WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. -- Sophomore
Kellie Hill recorded a team-high eight kills, but Lycoming snapped Albright's two-match winning streak with a 25-19, 25-20, 25-12 MAC Commonwealth victory over the Lions on Wednesday at Lamade Gymnasium.
Albright had posted victories over Gwynedd-Mercy and Penn State Abington in its last two matches, but fell to the Warriors on Wednesday night.
Hill posted her seventh match of the season with at least seven kills and also posted a .333 attack percentage.
Sophomore
Maddy Greth had six kills for Albright, while
Victoria Wainwright and
Katie Schmerse each finished with four kills. Freshman
Becca Davis had her string of double-figure dig matches halted at 11 straight as she finished with a team-high seven digs.
Sophomore setter
Claudia Guise added 21 assists, five digs and two kills for the Lions.
Lycoming was led by Bethany Richardson and Maggie Slawson who each had eight kills.
Lycoming, which improved to 17-9 overall and 3-5 in conference play, hit .342 for the match as a team including .579 in the decisive third set.
Albright dropped to 5-15 overall and 0-6 in the MAC Commonwealth with the loss.
The Lions return to action on Friday (Oct. 23) when it plays Penn State Berks at 5 p.m. in a non-conference match.
