READING, Pa. -- Freshman
Victoria Wainwright tied her career high with nine kills, but Albright lost to Messiah 25-14, 25-23 20-25, 25-13 in a MAC Commonwealth match on Tuesday in the Bollman Center.
Wainwright, who finished with a .238 attack percentage, tied her previous career high that she recorded on Sept. 9 against Alvernia.
Albright, which dropped to 5-17 overall and 0-7 in the MAC Commonwealth, also received seven kills from
Maddy Greth and six kills from
Kellie Hill.
The Lions also received 23 assists and 16 digs from sophomore setter
Claudia Guise and 13 digs from freshman
Becca Davis.
Messiah, which improved to 26-2 overall and 7-1 in conference play, got a match-high 19 kills from Jane Underman. Underman posted a .571 attack percentage and also had eight digs and two service aces.
The Falcons also received 10 kills from Kristen Douglas and 13 digs from Emily Zellers.
Albright will conclude the 2015 season on Thursday (Oct. 29) when it hosts Widener in a MAC Commonwealth match at 7 p.m. in the Bollman Center.
