READING, Pa. -- The Albright women's swimming team opened the home portion of its 2015-16 season with a 190-71 loss to Widener on Saturday at the Albright Natatorium.

Julia Barry notched the Lions only individual victory on the day as she finished first in the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:22.03.

Barry also finished second in the 100 butterfly and swam a leg on the Lions 400 freestyle relay team that placed second. She completed the 100 butterfly in 1:05.02 and the team of Hannah Schrock, Dayne Martin, Barry and Sam Hand finished second in a time of 3:33.77.

Hand, Madeline Hudson and Corrine Freeland each recorded a second-place finish for Albright. Hand was second in the 1000 freestyle in 11:38.30, while Hudson claimed second in the 200 backstroke in 2:25.41 and Freeland placed second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:18.64.

The Lions 200 medley relay team of Hudson, Freeland, Martin and Schrock finished second in a time of 1:36.01.

Albright will return to action on Saturday (Nov. 7) when it visits Arcadia for a 1 p.m. meet.
