READING, Pa. -- Returning to the friendly confines of the Bollman Center was not enough for the Albright volleyball team as the Lions dropped a 25-13, 25-13, 25-21 MAC Commonwealth decision to Lebanon Valley on Wednesday.
It marked the Lions first home match in almost a month as Albright had played eight consecutive road, or neutral site, matches.
Albright, which fell to 3-13 overall and 0-5 in conference play, struggled to find an offensive rhythm against the Dutchmen. Albright hit -.500 in the first set, .000 in the second set and .139 in the third set.
Sophomore
Maddy Greth registered eight kills, four digs and one block to lead Albright, while

Lebanon Valley closed out the first set 25-13 on a kill by Chloe McCarty.
The second set was more of the same as the Dutchmen jumped out to an early 13-6 lead. The Lions were never able to get closer than six points for the remainder of the set as Lebanon Valley posted a 25-13 win.
The third set was tightly contested throughout and the Dutchmen needed a late rally to overtake the Lions.
Albright held a 17-16 lead after a Lebanon Valley attack error and a kill by Schmerse, but the Dutchmen responded with a 4-0 run to take a 20-17 lead.
A Lebanon Valley service error brought Albright to within 20-18, but a kill by Nina Mentzer and a service ace from Emily Sides upped the lead to 22-18.
Schmerse recorded a kill to trim the lead to 22-19 and Mackenzie Walck and Greth exchanged kills giving Lebanon Valley a 23-20 lead.
