Albright Student-Athletes Champion "It's on Us" Campaign

READING, Pa. – In celebration of National Student-Athlete Day, the Albright Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the department of athletics have joined in the effort to end sexual assault on college campuses.

Albright President Lex O. McMillan, Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Gina-Lyn Crance and representatives from virtually every Albright athletic program are featured in an "It's on Us" video promoting bringing an end to sexual assault on college campuses.

The "It's On Us" initiative is a cultural movement aimed at fundamentally shifting the way we think, talk about and act around the issue of sexual assault. The initiative asks everyone – men and women – to make a personal commitment to holding themselves and each other accountable and realize that the solution begins with us.

National Student-Athlete Day is recognized on April 6 throughout the nation and recognizes the accomplishments of student-athletes who excel in the classroom, on the playing fields, and who give back to their community through service projects.

National Student-Athlete Day was created by the National Consortium for Academics and Sports (NCAS) and the Northeastern University Center for the Study of Sport in Society, with partnership from the NCAA.
