YORK, Pa. -- Sophomore
Kellie Hill recorded a season-high 12 kills, but the Albright volleyball team dropped its finale of the York Spartan Invitational to FDU-Florham 25-11, 20-25, 25-20, 25-20 on Saturday.
After losing the first set 25-11, the Lions rallied to even the match at 1-1 with a 25-20 victory in the second set. FDU-Florham would go on to capture the match by claiming the third and fourth sets.
Hill finished with a season-best 12 kills and also recorded a .314 attack percentage as she had only one hitting error for the match.
Maddy Greth added eight kills and
Katie Schmerse finished with seven kills for the Lions.
Freshman
Becca Davis finished the match with a career-high 23 digs, while sophomore
Claudia Guise posted 10 digs. Guise also had 28 assists and three service aces.
Lauren Harris led FDU-Florham with a match-high 16 kills.
Albright dropped to 3-10 overall on the season, while FDU-Florham improved to 14-3 on the year.
Albright returns to action on Tuesday (Sept. 29) when it visits Arcadia for a MAC Commonwealth match beginning at 7 p.m.
