Volleyball to Host Dig Pink Match on Oct. 27

READING, Pa. – The Albright volleyball team will host its Dig Pink match to promote breast cancer awareness on Oct. 27 when the Lions host Alvernia at 7 p.m. It will also be Albright's senior night.

In an effort to raise awareness and funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, there will be numerous gift baskets featuring Vera Bradley, Michael Kors and Wawa among others available for raffle. The team will also sponsor a 50-50 raffle during the match.

Susan G. Komen is the only organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts such as research, community health, global outreach and public policy initiatives in order to make the biggest impact against this disease. To date, the organization has invested more than $2.6 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 60 countries. Their efforts helped reduce death rates from breast cancer by 37 percent between 1990-2013.

The Lions return to action at home Wednesday against Hood at 7 p.m.
