READING, Pa. –
The Albright football team will look to continue its unbeaten start when it travels to Lycoming on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. Albright is coming off a dominating 50-17 victory at Misericordia last week. The Lions carried a 29-3 lead into halftime and led, 50-3, before Misericordia scored a pair of touchdowns late in the fourth quarter.

With the victory last week, the Lions moved to 2-0 for the fifth time since 2009. Albright started 2-0 in 2009, 2011, 2012 and 2015. In all four of those previous 2-0 seasons, the Lions went on to win in Week 3. Those were also the previous four seasons that the Lions opened MAC play with 2-0 conference records. A win on Saturday would match that mark.

ABOUT LYCOMING
Lycoming enters Saturday's contest with an 0-2 record and an 0-1 mark in MAC play. The Lycoming offense has struggled through the first two weeks, scoring a total of nine points without benefit of a touchdown. Kicker Jamie Fisher is 3-for-3 in field goal attempts. Lycoming opened the season with a 7-6 loss at Susquehanna before dropping its MAC opener against Delaware Valley, 34-3, last Saturday.

LAST SEASON
The Lions topped Lycoming, 17-3, in last season's Pretzel Bowl in Week 3. Alec Vignola went 19-for-27 for 253 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions. After a scoreless first quarter, Lycoming opened the scoring with a 24-yard field goal from Fisher. Albright responded with a pair of touchdowns later in the quarter. Vignola hit Vinny Williams from 32 yards out with 1:01 to play in the half to make it 14-3. Kyle Dickerson had five catches for 74 yards in the win.

VIGNOLA WINS AWARDS
Quarterback Alec Vignola picked up a pair of weekly honors following his performance in last week's win at Misericordia. He was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, and he earned MAC Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Vignola was nearly perfect in the air while leading the Lions to a 50-17 win over Misericordia in the conference opener. Vignola completed 20-of-21 passes for a 95.2 completion percentage, a new school record. He held the old record of 90 percent, set last season with his 18-for-20 performance against Misericordia. The senior threw for 306 yards and three touchdowns. He did not throw an interception and was not sacked. Vignola also led the Lions in rushing with 54 yards on five attempts, nearly 11 yards per rush. His longest pass completion was for 45 yards, while his longest rush was 37 yards.

BOEHLER NABS TWO MORE PICKS
Linebacker Grant Boehler had an interception against Salisbury to open the season, and he followed that with two more interceptions in last week's win at Misericordia. Boehler had just one career interception coming into his senior season. He's the conference leader in interceptions, and he's ranked fourth in the nation in that category. Boehler is also third in the MAC in tackles, solo tackles and passes defended.

OTHER NCAA, MAC LEADERS
The Lions are at the top of several categories in the conference and in the nation. As a team, Albright is one just 18 teams in the nation to not allow a sack yet this season. The Lions are also tops in the conference and 19th in the NCAA in forced turnovers with six.

Receiver Mike Jordan ranks first in the conference and fifth in the NCAA with four touchdown catches. Alec Vignola leads the MAC and is 13 in the nation in completion percentage at 71.4 percent.
