Women's Swimming Suffers Dual Meet Loss to Ursinus

READING, Pa. – Competing in their first home meet since late October, the Albright Lions women's swimming team dropped a 135-70 contest to Ursinus on Saturday afternoon at the Natatorium
 
Sophomore Ashlyn Chermol and freshman Juli Hyatt each picked up two individual wins on the day, while sophomore Alexis Willis posted a win in the 50 yard freestyle. Chermol grabbed wins in the 200 yard freestyle and 500 yard freestyle, while Hyatt got her wins in the 1,000 yard freestyle and 200 yard breaststroke.
 
Chermol posted a time of 1:59.72 in the 200 free, which is currently the eighth fastest time in the event for the MAC this season, and a time of 5:22.73 in the 500 freestyle that is currently the sixth fastest in the conference this season for the event. Hyatt registered the third fastest time in the conference this season with a time of 2:31.67 in the 200 breast just after posting the third fastest time for the MAC in the 1,000 free at 10:59.84. Willis picked up her win in the 50 free with a time of 25.62.
 
The Lions will return to the pool next Saturday, January 20th when they will host Elizabethtown in a dual meet for Senior Day at 1 p.m.
