READING, Pa. – The Albright Lions women's swimming team used 10 event wins and two swimmers scoring multiple wins in individual events to defeat Elizabethtown in the senior day dual meet on Saturday afternoon, 144-104.

The Lions picked up nine individual wins on the day, including a pair of swimmers each posting two wins in the meet. Freshman Juli Hyatt earned wins in the 100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard breaststroke, while sophomore Ashlyn Chermol picked up wins in the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly. Along with those two swimmers, Senior Alex Trego earned a win in the 500-yard freestyle and sophomore Sammy Murphy earned first place in the 100-yard freestyle, while junior Hannah Schrock won the 200-yard freestyle. Senior Dayne Martin picked up a win in the 200-yard butterfly and sophomore Alexis Willis posted a victory in the 100-yard backstroke to round out the individual wins.

Both of Chermol's wins came with times that now currently sit in the top-five in the MAC this season. Her time of 24.85 in the 50 freestyle was the fourth best time in the conference, while her time of 1:00.06 in the 100 butterfly was also good for fourth best in the MAC. Hyatt too also posted a top-five time in the MAC so far this season with a time of 1:10.11 in the 100 breaststroke before tallying a time of 2:36.55 to win the 200 breaststroke. Schrock picked up the first individual win of the day for the Lions with a time of 2:10.04 in the 200 yard freestyle, and was followed by Willis in the 100 backstroke with a winning time of 1:05.98. In their final home meet, Martin posted a time of 2:26.69 to win the 200 butterfly just before Trego won the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:57.89. Murphy rounded out the Lions wins on the day by tallying a time of 56.30 to take the 100 freestyle.

Albright also posted a win in the 200 yard medley relay team with Willis, Hyatt, Martin, and Murphy leading the way for a time of 1:56.78, while the 800 yard freestyle relay team set a new pool record with a time of 8:11.80 that was paced by Chermol, Hyatt, Murphy, and freshman Maggie Jones.
