Sammy Murphy and freshman
Alaina Ricci each captured two races apiece as the Albright Lions women's swimming team won their third straight dual meet with a 117-82 victory at Elizabethtown on Saturday morning.
Murphy took home the 50 free in a time of 26.81, just edging out teammate
Juli Hyatt who took second in 26.99 and also won the 100 free in a time of 57.89. Ricci captured the 200 freestyle as she touched the wall in 2:04.90 and won the 100 fly with a time of 1:02.89.
Other winners for the Lions included freshman
Allyson Kraff in the 1,000 freestyle (11:41.52), freshman
Regina McCarter in the 200 IM (2:28.09) and freshman
Violet Shattuck in the 100 back (1:09.28). The relay quartet of freshman
Bianca Wargo, Hyatt, McCarter and Murphy took home the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:59.13.
To go along with Hyatt's second place finish in the 50 free, freshman Maddie Werndl took second in the 1,000 free in 12:06.01, Shattuck finished second in the 200 IM in 2:33.15, senior
Hannah Schrock placed second in the 100 free with a time of 59.23, Wargo took second in the 100 back in 1:09.62 and Kraff was second in the 500 free as she touched the wall in 5:39.04.
The Lions return to the pool with a dual meet against Bryn Mawr on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Albright Natatorium at 1 p.m.
