WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Led by senior
Sammy Murphy, the Albright women's swimming team used their depth to earn a 123-100 win against Lycoming College on Saturday afternoon at the Lamade Gym Natatorium.
Lycoming got to the wall first in eight of the 14 events, but Albright earned over half of their points from second through fifth place finishes.
Individually, Murphy won the 100 freestyle in a time of 57.43 and the 50 freestyle in 26.55. First-year
Megan Misurelli had a strong debut for the Albright Lions, as she took the 500 freestyle in 5:35.81 and finished second in the 200 free in 2:08.13. Junior
Juli Hyatt won the 1000 freestyle for the Lions in 12:08.86. Sophomore
Violet Shattuck also added a win in the 100 back with a time of 1:09.92 and earned a second-place finish in the 50 back in 33.25.

Rachel Nye (38.66), senior Cait Bedesem (39.22), and senior
Dalila Alvarez (40.70) earned second, third and fourth, respectively, to earn nine points in the 50 breaststroke. Sophomore
Brooke Schlott (1:09.54), Mogara (1:12.98), and Shattuck (1:14.38) repeated this in the 100 butterfly to outscore the Warriors.
The Lions will host Widener on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. for the first home meet of the 2019 season.
