READING, Pa. – Junior
Juli Hyatt led the Albright women's swimming team with three individual wins on Saturday in a 149-111 win against Elizabethtown. The meet also took time to celebrate the five seniors on the women's team.
Hyatt opened the matchup by swimming the breaststroke leg of the 200 medley relay with teammates
Alaina Ricci,
Maggie Jones, and
Sammy Murphy in 1:57.96. The junior won the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.49 and swam the 500 freestyle for the win in a time of 5:33.64. Ending the meet with another victory, Hyatt swam a 1:06.87 in the 100 IM.
Jones and Ricci each won two individual events for Albright as Jones took the 50 freestyle in 26.09 and the 100 butterfly in 1:04.34. Ricci added victories in the 100 and 200 backstroke, clocking a 1:06.17 and 2:21.60, respectively.
On Senior Day, Murphy took home a win in the 100 freestyle after swimming a 57.77, just off her season best. First-year Misurelli recorded a victory in the 200 freestyle in 2:03.90, and the 200 freestyle relay team of Misurelli,
Amantle Mogara, Ricci, and Murphy capped off the day with a win in 1:48.70.
Albright women's swimming will travel to Messiah on Saturday, Feb. 1 for a 1 p.m. meet.
