MECHANICSBURG, Pa. – The Albright women's swimming team competed against host Messiah and Misericordia in a double dual meet on Saturday afternoon.
 
Albright was defeated 89-164 by Messiah and 89-153 by Misericordia. The Messiah women's swimming team took down Misericordia 139-122.
 
On the women's side, the Lions collected five individual events. Sophomore Laurel Gingrich led Albright with two individual wins. Gingrich swam a 25.39 in the 50 free and a 56.55 in the 100 free. Junior Megan Misurelli earned first in the 1000 free with a time of 11:16.96, while senior Alaina Ricci placed first in the 500 free with a 5:24.38. Sophomore Morgan Stuhltrager swam a 1:02.03 in the 100 butterfly to place first.

The Lions will return to the pool on Thursday, Feb. 10^th at 10 a.m. for the opening day of the MAC Championships at York.
