READING, Pa . - The Albright volleyball team (10-8, 0-5 MAC Commonwealth) fell at home this evening against visiting Messiah (15-6, 4-2 MAC Commonwealth) in a MAC Commonwealth battle. The visiting Falcons started fast and were able to take the match three sets to zero (25-11, 25-15, 25-9).
Messiah got out to an early lead in the first set taking 10 out of the first 13 points. Mackenzie Feight recorded the first two kills of the game leading the Falcons to a first set win. Feight finished with 13 kills.
Albright looked to earn the second set victory when they were within two points midway through the frame. Messiah however proved to be too much carrying their first set momentum to the second set and ultimately winning the match.
Sophie Hampton tallied eight digs to lead the way for the Lions.
Carly Bono and Rhianna Betley looked to spark the Albright offense each finishing with five kills on the day.
