READING, Pa. - The Albright volleyball team (10-10 , 0-5 MAC Commonwealth) was at home this evening and fell to visiting Penn State Berks (12-8, 3-1 North Eastern Atlantic Conference) in non-conference action by a final of 3-0 ( 25-14, 25-7, 25-20). Today's game marked the last game of the non conference slate in 2022 for Albright.
Penn State Berks jumped out to a 10-2 advantage to take a commanding lead in set one and ultimately won the opening set. The Nittany Lions carried the opening set momentum in the second set to take a 2-0 sets lead.Â
Albright looked to stage a late comeback after Penn State Berks forced match point. The Lions rattled off six straight points staving off defeat but the Nittany Lions proved to be too much in the end.Â
Rachel Etim led the way for Albright tallying seven kills and two blocks. Shelby Cheuvront and Kyra Lycett were strong for Albright, defensively recording 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
