ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Albright volleyball team (10-11, 0-6 MAC Commonwealth) fell on the road against Lebanon Valley College (16-6, 4-3 MAC Commonwealth) in three sets (25-13, 25-12, 25-12) on Wednesday evening.
The hosts jumped out to an early lead in the match in large part from the play of Julia Rill. Rill had five kills in the opening set and went on to finish with 10 kills in the match.
The Flying Dutchmen carried the first set momentum throughout the remainder of the match taking the next two sets over the Lions.
Sophie Hampton led the offensive push from the Lions with a team high seven kills. Shelby Cheuvront was strong defensively, tallying 19 digs for Albright.
