READING, Pa. – Albright College Co-Directors of Athletics, Rick Ferry and Janice Luck, have named Alexa Poss '21 the new women's volleyball head coach.

Poss, a 2021 graduate of Albright, was a three-year standout member of the women's volleyball team. She currently holds the program's record for service aces in five games with eight back in 2019. Also in 2019, Poss ranked second in the MAC Commonwealth in aces per set with 0.60. She served as a captain during the 2019 and 2020-21 seasons.

"I am extremely excited and honored to have been given this opportunity to come back to the place I called home for my own colligiate career" said Poss. "I have dreamt of becoming a college head coach ever since I started playing and I couldn't be happier that it is happening here at Albright."

Poss earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology with a minor in Painting from Albright in May of 2021. Her most recent role was as a Language and Culture Teaching Assistant at CIEE Teach Abroad. Poss also brings coaching experience with her from the Delaware United Volleyball Club.

"I want to thank the athletic department for believing in me, Coach Alex Litrenta for everything she has given this program and taught me, and the Albright community for all their support."
