CHESTER VALLEY, Pa. – Sophomore John Villano led both the men's and women's track & field teams on day two of the 2022 Outdoor Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships on a rainy Friday afternoon.
 
Villano earned the lone medal of the day for the Lions in the high jump event with a 1.82m jump to earn second place.
 
On the women's side, senior Rachael Daniels earned a top-ten finish in the high jump with a 1.46m to tie for seventh.
 
Sophomore Laurel Gingrich qualified for the finals tomorrow in the 400m dash with a top-three time of 1:00.64 in the preliminary run. Additionally, on the men's side Dante Zamichieli qualified for the finals in the 1500m run while Sidney Walker will compete in the finals for the 110m hurdles tomorrow.
 
Both the men and women will represent Albright tomorrow in the 4x400 relay events.
 
The Lions will conclude the 2022 MAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships beginning at 12 p.m. at DeSales tomorrow.
