Reading, PA – Volleyball earns another sweep as they controlled the court from the first serve to the last serve. It is the fourth straight win for the volleyball team and they have won each of their past 12 sets played. Albright took the sets 25-22, 25-22 and 25-6 to improve their overall record to 6-2.
It was another dominant performance for Albright earning their fourth straight win and only trailed by one point in today's match. In the first set the Lions jumped out to a 7-1 lead. Rutgers-Camden made things interesting getting within a point of Albright however the Lions would not waver and went on to win the first set.
The second set played as the first did with both teams exchanging points. In the third set Albright imposed their will to win the set and the match. The Lions would use 12 straight points to pull away and put the game on ice.
Grace Andrefski led the way for Albright collecting a game high nine kills.
Rachel Etim and
Rhianna Betley would add six kills of their own.
Paolo Mejias was setting up her teammates all day in fantastic fashion. Mejias tallied 14 assists to lead the Lions.
Shelby Cheuvront was active on the defensive side producing eight digs.
Albright will take on Eastern University on Wednesday, September 21 in the Bollman Center. First serve is slated for 7p.m. and this game marks the second conference game of the season.
