Reading, PA - The Albright Lions beat the Penn College Wildcats in straight sets on friday night, winning 25-17, 25-17, 25-17. The win improves the Lions record to 7-3, while the Wildcats fall to 2-5.
Set one went back and forth, as the two teams were tied at seven. But an 11-3 run by the Lions gave them a commanding lead. They would keep trading points the rest of the set, to win it 25-17.
Set two saw the Lions take an early 8-2 lead. Penn would then close to within two before the Lions went on a 7-1 run to take control. The Lions would close the set on a 6-2 run to win it 25-17.
Just like in the second set, the Lions again got out to an 8-2 lead in the third. After the Wildcats closed to 10-8, the Lions went on a 10-3 run to lead 19-11. They would cruise the rest of the way, to win the third set 25-17.
