Reading, PA - Coach Alexa Poss picked up her first career win as the Lions head coach, as Albright defeated Rosemont in straight sets, winning 25-18, 25-20, and 25-22. The win moves the Lions to 1-1 on the season, while Rosemont drops to 1-1.

After the Lions got out to an early 5-0 lead in set one, the Ravens responded by scoring six of the next seven points to tie things up at six. The Lions then scored nine of the next 10 to take the 15-7 lead, a lead they would not give up. The Ravens would close to within four, but the Lions would win the set 25-18.

The second set was similar to the first, as the Lions picked up an early lead, and never really felt any danger from the Ravens. After the Lions took an 8-5 lead, the Ravens never got closer, as the Lions won the set 25-20.

The third set was the closest of the match, with neither team ever having more than a four point lead. But after trading points throughout the set, the Lions would clinch the win on a kill by Paola Mejias, taking the final set 25-22.

The Lions were led on offense by Grace Andrefski and Sophie Hampton, each having eight kills. Right behind them was Rhianna Betley and Rachel Etim, each with seven kills. For the second straight game, Mejias led the team in assists with 23. Mejias was also a star serving the ball, picking up five aces. 

Defensively, Libero Shelby Cheuvront led the match with 18 digs, followed by Kyra Lycett (13) and Mejias (11). Rachel Etim was a force up front, totaling three solo blocks to lead the match.
