York, PA - The Albright Lions fell in their conference opener in straight sets to York, losing 25-17, 25-15, and 25-19. The loss drops the Lions to 2-2 (0-1), while York improves to 2-1 (1-0).
The first set saw the Lions fall behind 22-10, before going on a 6-0 run, but it was too little, too late, as the Spartans would take the set 25-17.
Set two also saw the Spartans get out to a large lead, this time 17-6. The Lions would use a 6-1 lead to get closer, but ultimately the Spartans would win it 25-15.
In the closest set of the match, Albright got out to an early 4-0 lead, but things quickly turned the other way, as York would take a 16-9 lead, a 5-1 Lion run would close the gap, but it wasn't enough, as the Spartans clinched the victory with a 25-19 final set.
