MAC Announces Men’s Tennis Preseason Poll

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Albright Men's Tennis team will return to the court this Spring and was selected to finish sixth in the MAC Commonwealth preseason poll as voted upon by the league's head coaches and announced by the conference on Friday morning.

The Lebanon Valley Men's Tennis team was tabbed as the preseason favorite receiving six of the eight first place votes. Stevenson and Messiah were picked to finish second and third, respectively and received one first place vote.

Alvernia, York (Pa.) and Albright were picked to finish fourth, fifth and sixth in the conference during the spring season.

The Spring season will commence on Saturday, March, 4 when Albright travels to Penn State Abington for a non-conference match. The MAC Commonwealth slate will begin on Saturday, April, 1 at York College.

The first home match for the Lions will be held on Friday, March, 10 beginning at 2:30 p.m squaring off against Rowan College of Gloucester County.

In all, Albright will play 13 matches this Spring with six at home and seven on the road. Albright will face off seven times against other MAC Commonwealth member institutions. 

The Lions went 3-3 during the Fall portion of the season and with wins against Penn State Brandywine, Misericordia and Lycoming.
