READING, Pa. - The Albright Lions football team is preparing for a matchup against Misericordia University on Saturday, October 28. The game is set for a 1 p.m. start from Dallas, Pa. Saturday's game will be the first of two straight road games for the Lions.

ABOUT ALBRIGHT
Montez Ellis Jr. provided a spark in the return game last time out against Widener in the 72
nd annual Rajah Shrine Pretzel Bowl. Ellis Jr. compiled 145 total return yards between punt and kick-off returns. The longest return of the game came on a kick-off which Ellis Jr. returned for 50 yards into Widener territory. For his efforts, Ellis Jr. was named 2023 Pretzel Bowl MVP at the conclusion of this past Saturdays game.
Matthew Creeger caught a career high in receptions last time out, making six grabs in the game. The six catches are the most in a game for any Albright student-athlete this season. The first year wideout leads the team in receptions this season with 11 receptions on the year.
The Albright defense continues to force the other team into turnovers this season. As a defensive unit, the Lions have forced 10 turnovers to date. Albright features eight different student-athletes on the defensive side of the ball that have either intercepted a pass or have recovered a fumble.
The secondary for Albright features five different Lions with at least three pass breakups this season.

Khani Knight led the way with five,

Josh Scurry with three.
ABOUT MISERICORDIA
Misericordia comes into Saturday's game on a two-game losing streak dropping contests to Widener and Stevenson. Saturday's game will be the first home game for Misericordia since October 7. Misericordia sports a 2-2 home record on the season with home wins over Alvernia and Eastern and home losses to Alfred State College and King's College (Pa.)
The Cougars offense is led by quarterback TJ Lattimore and tailback Jacob Hunter. The duo has led the Cougars to a per game scoring average of 19.29 points per game and a per game yard average of 115.9. Lattimore has thrown for five touchdowns and six interceptions this season compiling 674 yards in the process. Hunter leads the backfield with 173 yards gained good for 4.0 yards per carry. Hunter leads the team in touchdowns with five.
The Misericordia defense is giving up 128.1 yards per game which places them in the middle of the pack for the Middle Atlantic Conference. The defense is vulnerable having four such games this season giving up 30 points or more.
Eric Glass is one of the best tackles in the MAC and for the Cougars. Glass has 54 total tackles this season and 6.5 tackles for loss. Glass leads a defensive unit that has recorded 18 sacks this season to date.
Defensive back Lamontae Wilson is a player to watch in the secondary. Wilson has played well this season recording four interceptions and breaking up seven passes in the process. The four interceptions for Wilson are good for the number one spot in the MAC.
