READING, Pa. – The Albright women's swimming team returned to the pool on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 11) hosting the Blazers from Hood College. Hood won today's meet over Albright 103-55.
Prior to today's meet,
Laurel Gingrich and
Morgan Stuhltrager were honored as the two seniors on the Albright women's swimming team.
Morgan Stuhltrager competed in three different events today and won all three of the events. Stuhltrager finished in front in the 200-yard IM, 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke.
In the 200-yard IM Stuhltrager finished with a time of 2:20.85. In the 100-yard butterfly Stuhltrager completed the race in 1:04.16 and in the 100-yard backstroke the senior finished with a time of 1:06.54.
Laurel Gingrich was also on her A game today taking home first in all three of her events this afternoon. Gingrich competed in the 50, 100 and 200-yard freestyles. In the 50-yard freestyle, Gingrich turned in a time of 25.89 and a time of 56:53 in the 100-yard freestyle. In the 200-yard freestyle, Gingrich bested the three-person field with a time of 2:03.35 which was 19 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
Ruth Castro competed in the 50 and 100-yard freestyles turning in times of 36:04 and 1:25.57, respectively.

The Lions women's swimming team will return to the pool in less than a week's time heading to the York College Invitational. The Invitational is a three-day event beginning this Friday, November 17 at 1 p.m.
