YORK, PA. – The Albright women's swimming team opened up the three-day Spartan Splash York College (Pa.) Invitational on Friday afternoon (Nov. 17). The Lions will be action throughout the weekend taking place in York, Pa.

The competing teams in the Spartan Splash are, York College (Pa.), Bridgewater, Cabrini, Hood and Albright.

Laurel Gingrich continues to record strong times and finishes in the pool this season. Gingrich won the 50-yard freestyle tonight continuing her dominating run. Gingrich was third heading into the 50-free finals but blazed by the competition in the finals with a time of 24.51 to claim the top spot.

Morgan Stuhltrager was in action in the 200-yard IM and took home third in the event. Stuhltrager finished with a finals time of 2:18.62 shaving nearly eight seconds off her preliminary time.
