MORRISTOWN, N.J. - The Albright women's volleyball team (8-1) has run their win streak to eight games with a dominating performance over the Saint Elizabeth Eagles (1-2) on Friday (Sept. 15) night. The Lions controlled the match from the first point to the last point sweeping the Eagles 3-0 on their home floor.
The Lions have now won eight games in a row. During the eight game win streak, the Lions have only lost four sets total.
Albright remains undefeated on the road this season sitting at a perfect 3-0.
ALBRIGHT 3 / SAINT ELIZABETH 0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-12)
The Lions won the first set pulling away late in the frame over Saint Elizabeth taking a 1-0 lead in the match. First year Elle Haddon caught fire in the first set recording four kills.
In the second set Albright jumped out to an 8-1 lead paving the way for a dominant set number two win. As a team, Albright had six service aces in the second set achieving their sixth on the game winning point of the second set.
Albright closed out the match in the third and final set securing their eighth straight victory.The Lions never trailed by more than three points through the three sets proving they were the better side throughout the match.
Haddon finished as Albright's kill leader going for nine in the game. Rachel Etim chipped in with six kills while Neve Straff and Olivia Berry each had four.
Kyra Lycett recorded another double digit dig performance with 16 digs. Lycett now has 222 digs in her Albright career.
Ryenn Mamrosch and Paola Mejias each had four aces and Lindsey Korn continued to serve the ball well adding three aces to her name giving her 27 total aces on the season.
