READING, Pa. – The men's swimming tandem of
Brenden Stuhltrager and
Anthony Laite both took home podium finishes on day one of the 2024 MAC Swimming Championships. Stuhltrager earned the bronze medal in the 50-yard freestyle and Laite took home eighth in the 500-yard freestyle.
DAY 1 FINAL RESULTS
Stuhltrager, competing in his first MAC Championships, took home the bronze in the 50-yard freestyle with a solid time of 20.92. The first-year swimmer improved on his prelim time in the finals by 29 seconds. Stuhltrager was not far behind the second and first place finishers in the event finishing five tenths of second behind second and 12 tenths of a second behind first.
Laite picked up the second podium finish of the evening for the men's swimming team in the 500-yard freestyle. Laite's time of 4:53.27 was good for eighth in the event to secure the eighth place spot in his last go around in the MAC Championships.
