Men’s Swimming Competes Against Messiah and Misericordia

The Albright men’s swimming team took the pool on Saturday afternoon competing in a tri-meet against Messiah and Misericordia. Stuhltrager wins three events to highlight a strong day for the team.

GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Albright men's swimming team competed this afternoon in a tri-meet against Messiah and Misericordia. Todays meet marks the final meet before Middle Atlantic Conference Championships (MAC) get underway on February 15.

FULL INDIVIDUAL RESULTS

Brenden Stuhltrager was in action today in the 50 and 100-yard free and won both events handily. Stuhltrager won the six-person race with a time of 21.74 in the 50 and followed up that performance with a convincing win in the 100 with a time of 48.54.

Stuhltrager put in a solid day work this time winning the 100-yard butterfly. Stuhltrager bested the seven-person field with a time of 51.27 in the race to go three for three in events this afternoon.

Anthony Laite competed in the 1000-yard freestyle taking third in the race with a time of 10:58.14. Laite followed up that performance with a second-place finish in the 500-yard free. Laite's time of 5:04.19 was good for 2/6 in the event.
 
Up Next:
The Men's swimming team will take the next 12 days to prepare for the MAC Conference swimming championships. The Championships will run from February 15-18 at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pa.
