WILMINGTON, Del. – The Albright men's golf team proved they are among the top teams in all of Division III over the past two days at the Northeast Elite Shootout. The Lions played 54 holes in two days and finished in fourth out of 13 teams in an elite field of competition.
The Lions had their golf games working throughout the 54 holes of competition. Albright came into the tournament ranked #155 and after the impressive two-day performance, the ranking will surly improve. Albright took home fourth and was bested by #45 Hamilton, #50 Swarthmore and #97 Farmingdale. Albright finished ahead of #141 Penn College by 15 strokes.
A total of 69 individuals teed it up at the two-day tournament creating a strong field. Again, the Lions came to play and proved why they belong among the highly ranked teams. In total, every Albright Lion in action finished inside the top 40 golfers. In today's round three, the Lions turned in their best team score of the 2024 Spring season shooting a 301 combined score. The score was among the best team rounds of the today's round three.

Charles Bailey, fresh off his MAC Men's Golfer of the Week honors, finished the tournament in solo 6
th. Bailey finished the 54 holes at just six over par after another impressive round this afternoon in round three shooting a 75.
Jonatan Liljeblad earned himself a top 20 finish after closing the two day 54-hole tournament with a round of 78. Liljeblad opened the week with a first round 73 and was able to capitalize on the strong rounding by finishing in a tie for 17
th.
Evan Twyman had the best round of the day for the Lions moving up nine spots on the leader board when it was all said in done. Twyamn's round three score of 73 earned himself a top 20 finish tying teammate Liljeblad in 17
th.
Ben Egin was constant during his play over the course of two days firing his best round of the tournament this afternoon. Egin only got stronger as the tournament went on shooting a 75 today. The third-round score of 75 was good to move up Egin six spots to finish inside the top 25 in a tie for 24
th.
Sam Elsen saved his best round for the last round today and saw himself move up the leader board as the day progressed. Elsen jumped up three spots on the individual leader board with a third round 79. The round propelled Elsen into finishing nearly better than half the field taking home a finish of tied for 36.
