Special Teams have been a strong point for the Lions early in the season. Through two games, sophomore kicker
Antonio Vasquez has converted on each of his opportunities in both field goal and extra point attempts.
Jacob Rideout has been one of the best punters in the MAC to begin the season registering multiple 50+ yard punts while averaging 39.5 yards a punt. The average for Rideout is good for third in the MAC this season.
ABOUT WIDENER
Widener comes into this game fresh off a 27-13 win against Eastern in their first MAC game of the season.
Players to watch for Widener's offense include graduate running back Bryce Casey. Casey finished second on the team in rushing yards last season and has scored three touchdowns in the team's first two games since taking over the lead role.
Widener's defense held Eastern to 13 points and recorded three turnovers in the process via a fumble recovery and a pair of interceptions. Senior defensive lineman Jalen Walker has recorded a sack in each of the team's first two games.
