IMMACAULATA, Pa. – Volleyball continues to play well to begin the season with their third straight win in as many games to start the year. Albright (3-0) won today with a 3-0 sweep over Immaculata (2-2). Tonight's game was the first road game of the season for Albright.
The three wins to begin the season is the first time the Lions have achieved that feat since the 2021 season.
Albright won the first set 25-21 against the Might Macs and dominated the rest of the way from there. Albright won the next two sets by a combined score of 50-22. To date this season Albright has dropped only one total set.
Neve Straff led the way for the Albright attack tonight recording a game high 11 kills. Straff now has back to back games recording at least 10 kills.
Paola Mejias and
Rachel Etim had their serves working all night long. Mejias and Etim each had seven aces in the game, both of which are a career high for the Lion duo. Mejias added 23 assists while Etim tallied two solo blocks and three digs.
Lindsey Korn and
Sophie Hampton were active defensively spoiling the Mighty Macs attack attempts. Korn and Hampton each had 11 digs. Hampton added on to her night going for eight kills to tie the team lead with 29 kills this season.
Eight different Lions recorded at least one kill while 10 different players registered at least one dig.
