DALLAS, Pa. – Volleyball (4-18) competed in their fourth tri-match of the season on Saturday afternoon. Misericordia hosted the three matches played today, welcoming Albright and Rowan to their campus. Albright dropped the first match of the day to Rowan 3-0 and fell in the second match to Misericordia 3-0.
Game 1: Rowan 3 Albright 0
Rowan entered the contest against the Lions winning 13 of their last 14 matches. Rowan won in straight sets having the scoreline of 25-19, 25-15, 25-17.
Samantha Lipp led the team with seven kills. Lipp added six digs, one ace and one block assist.
Neve Straff was second on the team with six kills and was followed by
Rachel Etim who had five. Etim was solid defensively adding three block assists.
Straff added a team high nine digs while
Isabella Garay had seven digs.
Valouria James assisted on nine kills for the Lions in match number one of the day.
Game 2: Misericordia 3 Albright 0
Misericordia started fast winning the first two sets 25-16, 25-15. The Lions looked to send the match to a fourth set, but the Cougars were able to close out the match in three sets, taking the third 25-22.
Straff tallied a team high eight kills giving her 14 kills combined between the two matches played today.
Etim chipped in with six kills and was followed by
Paige Lipp who had four and
Korrine Tillery who had four as well. Lipp added eight digs and 11 assists. The 11 assists were good for a team high.
Garay added nine digs in match number two giving her 16 combined digs on the afternoon. James added five digs defensively and six assists offensively.
Sydney Mayfield was disruptive, defensively recording two block assists.

Albright will jump back into MAC Commonwealth play on Tuesday, October 28. The match is set to begin at 7 p.m. in the Bollman Center.
