READING, Pa. – Men's Soccer (5-8-4, 0-5-1 MAC Commonwealth) returned home after a pair of conference road games to host Eastern (5-10-2, 1-4-1 MAC Commonwealth). Following 90 minutes of physical play, the visiting Eagles would wind up leaving with a win over the Lions.
The Lions combined to fire off 11 total shots with
Martin Ramsay leading the offensive charge with four total shots in 74 minutes of play.
Among the starters who contributed to the shot category were
Will Garnett,
Jaylen Bains,
Gael Velazquez and
Daniel Lowman who all fought to create offensive chances for themselves and their teammates.
Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first 45 minutes of play.
Myles Mitchell and
Bryce Peters found themselves each breaking up a number of Eagle scoring opportunities throughout the game.
Making a big contribution off the bench for the Lions was
Erick Tacuri who registered a pair of shots in 33 minutes.
The Eastern offense would finally come to life in the second half which would lead to the Eagles leaving Shirk Stadium with a 5-0 win over the Lions.

The Lions will end their regular season against Alvernia on Saturday (11/1). The game will also serve as the team's senior day. The game is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. with senior day festivities taking place before the game.
