READING, Pa. – Volleyball hosted their only tri-match of the season on Saturday afternoon and throughout the early evening. Albright fell to Stockton in the first match of the day and topped Keystone in the second match of the day.
In between the two Albright matches, the Lions took the time to honor their lone senior
Rachel Etim.
Match #1 vs Stockton | L, 3-0
Etim led the way for the Lions in game number one with seven kills. The senior Lion added one each of an assist, a dig, a block assist and one service ace.
Samantha Lipp was second on the team in kills with five and was followed by
Neve Straff who had three. Lipp added five digs to her overall stat line while Straff added eight digs.
Lucia Fernandez set a new career high for assists with 14 in the match. It is the fourth time Fernandez has gone over 10 assists in a match.
Match #2 vs Keystone | W, 3-0
Albright rebounded nicely in game number two downing Keystone in straight sets. Albright won the first set 25-17. Keystone battled in the second set against the Lions, but Albright prevailed in set number two 25-22 and then closed out the match with a 25-11 third set win.
Straff and S. Lipp led the way for the Lions on the offensive side of the ball, each having seven kills. Straff tallied a season high seven aces as part as the Lions 18 total aces as a team.
Etim did a little bit of everything, making her presence known all over the court. Etim finished with a season high five aces while notching five kills, seven digs and five total blocks.
Fernandez matched her career high in assists that was set in the previous game today with 14. The first-year Lion was credited with five digs and two service aces.
Korrine Tillery finished the match with five total points, having five kills and one dig.

Albright will end the regular season on Wednesday, November 5 on the road at Stevenson. The match is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. in Owings Mills, Maryland.
