READING, Pa. – Men's wrestling (3-1) made its return to the campus of Albright College on Saturday afternoon. Albright sent the Lion faithful home happy picking up a 35-13 win over visiting Scranton (6-3).

Men's wrestling hosted their first dual meet since the program's reinstatement on Saturday afternoon against Scranton. The home dual meet marks the first of five total home duals this season. The program is in the middle of their 50^th anniversary season in 2025-2026.

After dropping the first bout of the afternoon, Albright would go on to win seven of the nine remaining bouts to secure the home victory. Albright has three dual wins this season beating MAC foes Delaware Valley and #12 Arcadia and now today with a win over Scranton.

Maximus Conley started the run of Lion wins picking up a major decision in the 133 bout. Danny Metzler followed suit with a fall in the first period to give the Lions a 9-4 lead.

Trent Mahoney came into today ranked as the #8 wrestler in the country at 157 pounds. Mahoney has yet to lose season standing at 14-0. Mahoney dazzled the crowd with fall in the first period to extend the Lions lead.

The next four bouts from Lions sealed the victory as they all finished with bonus points being awarded to Albright.

Beknazar Baiyshbekov started the run at 165 with a major decision. Davis Keppley was in complete control of his match before earning a fall at 6:00.

Abdoul Akala was dominant at 184 earning a tech fall before the first period horn sounded. Gideon Fasanya made it two straight tech falls winning his match 17-1.
