LANCASTER, Pa. – Women's and men's track and field opened their 2025-26 season at the Diplomat Open on Friday evening. The two Lion track and field teams combined to set four Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) qualifying standards in a strong start to the season.
Alyssa DeVita wasted no time earning a MAC qualifying mark in the first meet of the season. In the 400m DeVita took 6
th in the event with a time of 1:05.82.
Yonique Reynolds took 10
th in the high jump. Reynolds cleared the bar on her first attempt in three consecutive attempts to open the event ultimately clearing 1.37m in the end. The effort qualifies Reynolds for the indoor MAC Championships later this year.
Maizy Aikey fared well in the mile run, finishing ninth in the event. Aikey carried over her strong cross-country season into the season's first meet today recording a time of 5:53.89.
Darnell Turner tied for first in the high jump in the first-year Lions collegiate debut. On his first attempt at 1.90m, Turner cleared the bar to earn the top finish and a MAC qualifying standard to earn a spot in the conference championship meet.
Beyah Rembert Jr. was strong in the 200m with a time of 23.66. The mark was good for a MAC qualifying standard taking
Tyhee Pridgen took eighth in the 400m dash finishing with a time of 53.97. Pridgen finished fifth among MAC member institutions runners. The time narrowly missed a MAC qualifying mark by .38 seconds.

Jordan Patton in 5:39.18.
