READING, Pa. – Albright Volleyball (3-4) played Penn State Brandywine (3-4) in their second consecutive home match. The Lions took advantage of every opportunity and swept the Nittany Lions for their first home win of the season.
The Lions dominated set one by a score of 25-13 which included a 9-1 run and a pair of service aces from
Isabella Garay.
Neve Straff finished with a game high 13.5 points which included four service aces and eight kills as her season points total now sits at 80.5.
Also finishing with double digit points was
Rachel Etim who turned in one of her best defensive performances of the season with seven total blocks and five kills.
The match's second set turned out to be the closest of the three, but the Lions rallied for a clutch 3-1 run to close out a 25-23 set to go up 2-0.
The Lions returned to dominance in the third and final set and would close out the match with a 7-0 run for a 25-19 finish.
Paige Lipp was her usual self and set up her teammates with 18 assists and finished tied for second on the team with three service aces.
