Football to Face Delaware Valley in Home Opener

The Lions will be making their 2025 home debut at Shirk Stadium and are looking for their first conference win of the season.

READING, Pa. – After splitting a pair of road games, Albright Football will be back in action for a home game against Delaware Valley Saturday afternoon. This season marks 100 years of Albright's Shirk Stadium.

ABOUT ALBRIGHT

Chase Roberts matched his career high with three passing touchdowns along with 277 passing yards on 25 completions last time out against Misericordia. Through two games, the junior currently ranks first in the conference for passing yards (567) and second in passing touchdowns (4). Roger Romany-Walker stepped up against Misericordia and finished with 79 rushing yards on 16 carries and tallied 118 yards from scrimmage on the day.
 
As a team the Lions defense has found an identity in their ability to get after the opposing quarterback. Currently the Lions are tied for third in the conference with five sacks while also being tied for second for fumbles forced (2). Darien Osmun leads the way for the Lions defense with 16 total tackles, including four for a loss. Samuel Moratori ranks second with 15 and hauled in the Lions first interception of the season in the team's last game.  

ABOUT DELAWARE VALLEY  
 
Saturday's contest will mark the first road game of the season for the Aggies. They come to Albright after securing their first win in the form of a 49-7 blowout against King's. 
 
Junior QB Mike Galasso turned in a dominant passing performance with 335 yards and four touchdowns on just 19 completions. Gavin Migliori was Galasso's favorite target and recorded 139 yards and two touchdowns on five catches.
 
As a team, the Aggies' defense held the reigning MAC Champion King's to only 224 yards of offense which included stalling three drives by forcing and recovering fumbles in a showing of physicality. Linebacker Thomas Arcaroli finished with 10 tackles, three for a loss, to go along with a pair of sacks and a fumble recovery.
